IS PAID TRAFFIC OVERRATED ?

As I watched two new affiliates argue amongst themselves.

This might just  be the missing link between you and your next millions as a sales person particularly in the affiliate space.

The first guy; I started my affiliate marketing journey solely relying on paid ads,  I haven’t been able to make back my return on investment,  I actually regretted  heeding to the advice and coaching I was exposed to from the on set.

The second guy; well, paid ads actually helped me make more sales  even though I started with organic but I eventually scaled with paid ads.

Now, here is the thing

A common ideology in the marketing space is, start with organic and scale with paid ads.

But here is the twist, most especially if you are playing in a competitive market with in-demand customers such as affiliate marketing.

You just might be getting it wrong by over emphasizing on one end of the divide.

And might need to combine both to be able to get your goal which is massive sales.

You’d agree with me that one of the priced currency in today’s  world is ATTENTION

You must have heard the phrase “Attention is the new currency”

The internet sparks  a lot of curiosity and opinions in the hearts of many therefore, your content must be able to catch their attention to keep them engaged.

If you rely solely on paid ads, there are still chances you might not be getting the most conversion or leads.

Organic is not just about time in exchange for result or sales. It also  gives you a costless way of testing what works or gets the people’s attention, so you can scale on it with paid ads.

When you post a content on Facebook/Instagram reels   or even tiktok organically,  the performance of such can tell if the audience finds your content attention grabbing and not  just value-able.

Remember,  it can be valuable yet not attention grabbing therefore,  it can underperform.

An attention and engaging content  stands a better chance of generating  more leads or conversion when used for your paid  ads with the right targeting.

Additionally, because the internet gives people a  life of opinions, leverage, and ease of doing business it comes with its own negative side, the fear of losing money.

People are not just scared of losing money  because of the wrong product, they are also  scared of losing money to  a wrong seller with the right product most especially,  if it’s a niche based product such as information marketing.

Your fantastic and well targeted  running paid ads campaign may not be pulling in much conversions because potential customers are not just checking the product, they are also checking the seller’s track record and authority level in the niche.

It will be more profound if you can  put out organic content that shows you  as an  authority and also helps to build your credibility in the hearts of potential customers across platforms.

Organic and paid ads are marketing leverage, use them to your advantage.
